~ ~ ~ Went to sea on a beautiful pea green boat. They took some honey and plenty of money wrapped up in a 5 pound note. for a little history.
Sporting one of my favorite children’s stories this Halloween at work and for the 76 Trick-or-Treaters that came by this evening. My side kick bear from my childhood is the owl.
Happy Halloween to you from the Owl and the Pussycat!
If you have ever had an old clock in your home, you know how it becomes part of you. Our very old faithful clock had a hard summer and would stop without warning on several occasions. Speculation? The weather, adjustments, or it just had a mind of its own.
Just as we are about to call the elderly gentleman who works his time magic, our clock seemed to sense this, and is now back keeping rhythmic time and dutifully chiming.
Grace and Twilight have a wonderful habit of “metronome” tail keeping when near the clock.
Such a comfort, our house keeping the rhythm of life
My Grandfather’s Clock song / poem is a good classic read.
Speaking of time, it’s past my bedtime,
So that’s the end of this tail.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Twilight, Happy Birthday to you!
http://yhoo.it/MV9up4 With love from Alvin and the chipmunks!
This most precious cat, my Twilight turned 4 this past June, we celebrated at home and on Facebook, and now here with all of the other summer birthday celebrations. If you knew my Twilight, you would run to find one. She is loving, gentle, slightly spirited in a good way, and just a darling.
Love, snuggles and kitty kisses to this dear one – And many more!
It’s a Modern Cat Life friendship. A story of two young females from opposite ends of cat life, a high energy shelter cat and a gentle retired breeders cat. Learning to accept each other, get along, play, and taking comfort in friendship found.
Grace and Twilight send kisses and hope that your friendships grow into love.
A friendly Sunday to you!
As told by Pat Bell;
Parrots are a lot of work and after my cockatoo of 25 years passed away suddenly, I decided not to get another one. But of course you know as time passes, I yearned for another bird, so I set out to find a female baby cockatoo. We found Bella (her full name is Isabella) and she quickly became spoiled!
I then unexpectedly lost my beloved cat, Jasmine at 6 years of age and we soon decided to get 2 Maine Coon kittens. We picked up the kittens in Kentucky in our motor-home and Lani immediately fell in love with Bella (Lani loves everybody!). So they became immediate friends, and I think Lani told Bella she was a cat and Bella believed it! Bella wants to do Everything the cats do. So, everyone supervises me in the shower, making the bed, cooking or doing laundry…but Bella wants to help me!
Bella thinks she can talk and she imitates us when we talk but only she knows what she is saying and she gets quite animated (and loud – especially when I’m on the phone!).
We thought Bella was a girl but now our vet says that she (he) is probably a boy. We can’t get used to it (although she is not as docile as our previous little girl was…that should have been a clue!). Anyway she(he) is still called Bella and I still think of her as a girl!
She is very sweet and attentive and demands lots of attention….but that is what they are for…isn’t it?
Happy Birthday Bella!
Happy 4th of July from our kitty girls, Grace and Twilight!
It’s always very exciting and patriotic around the house during our 4th of July celebration. Small American flags line the half round of well manicured boxwood bushes, our American flag waves proudly against our 1935 Georgian red brick home, and quite unexpected, my husband plays God Bless America, America the Beautiful, and My Country Tis of Thee on his bagpipes! The days feast is in the planning stages, but it will be classic picnic fare full of smiles. As evening settles, my husband and I safely sit and watch musical firework celebrations via the TV.
I love our slice of Americana 🙂
Enjoy your 4th of July!
